Justice Minister stresses President’s readiness to continue Cyprus talks and Turkey’s responsibilities

The President’s readiness to continue the dialogue within the parameters of the UN Secretary-General gives us the opportunity to hold Turkey responsible for the solution of the Cyprus issue without any future review clauses, troops and guardians, Minister of Justice and Public Order Ionas Nicolaou said on Sunday.

United we ought to continue the efforts to curb Turkey’s intransigence, the Minister noted, speaking at a memorial service for Antonis Kafetzis and Vassos Agathangelou, who fell in 1974 during the Turkish invasion of Cyprus.

Nicolaou called for unity aiming at creating the conditions for the vindication of our people suffering from the Turkish occupation and united and determined give the new generation the opportunity to create its future in a modern European state equal among the rest.
