Kampot’s Tourism Advantages to Bring its Residents Livelihood to Next Level

Giving its existing and future tourism advantages, Cambodia's coastal Kampot province will bring livelihood of the residents to the next level.

Minister of Tourism H.E. Thong Khon highlighted the encouraging projection when presiding over a recent tourism workshop in the southern province.

In addition to its beautiful beach of 66.50 kilometres-long, said the minister, Kampot is rich of natural attraction sites as well as uniquely tasty agricultural products.

He continued that the Asian Development Bank granted financing to Cambodia to promote tourism infrastructure in three coastal provinces, including Kampot which will bring more advantages to the province.

With all these said, H.E. Thong Khon is positive that residents as well as households in the province will be able to further improve their livelihood as early as 2019.

According to Kampot Provincial Governor H.E. Chan Chesda, currently tourism has created direct jobs for more than 2,700 people in the province.
