Kazakhstan To Further Strengthen Legislative and Executive Cooperation with Cambodia

Newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cambodia H.E. Beketzhan Zhumakhanov affirmed that he would try his best to enhance the legislative and executive cooperation between the two countries.

The new diplomat made the commitment while paying a courtesy visit to Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, Cambodian President of the National Assembly (NA), at the NA Palace in Phnom Penh recently.

The NA president expressed warm welcome to H.E. Beketzhan Zhumakhanov’s diplomatic mission and requested H.E. Ambassador to encourage Kazakhstani investors and tourists to Cambodia to further strengthen the friendship between the two countries.

Samdech Heng Samrin also recalled the very good diplomatic tiesboth bilateral and multilateralbetween the two countries within the last six decades such as holding memberships to international parliamentary forums like Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), ASEAN Parliamentary Assembly (APA), and Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership (ASEP).

Samdech Heng Samrin accepted the invitation to attend the 4th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Meeting to be hosted by Kazakhstan, and invited the Kazakhstani NA to join the 11th ASEP Meeting to be hosted by Cambodia in 2020.
