Kazakhstani Ambassador Re-affirms Intention to Further Strengthen Friendship Ties and Cooperation with Cambodia

Newly appointed Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Cambodia H.E. Beketzhan Zhumakhanov promised to do his best to strengthen his country’s friendship ties, solidarity, and inter-nation cooperation with Cambodia during his visit to Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of Senate, at the Senate Palace in Phnom Penh recently.

H.E. Ambassador showed his enthusiasm for his current diplomatic mission in Cambodia and he recalled his previous role as Ambassador of the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) to Cambodia in the 1990s.

The Cambodian senate president warmly welcomed H.E. Ambassador and spoke highly of this diplomatic mission, adding that it would contribute to the already-strong friendship, solidarity, and cooperation between the people and the legislative bodies of the two countries. He also extended his regards to leaders of the parliament and other high-ranking officials in Kazakhstan.

The Senate will cooperate with the National Assembly to attend the 4th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Meeting to be hosted by Kazakhstan, said Samdech Say Chhum who is optimistic that the meeting will contribute to strengthening and expanding peace, stability and cooperation in the region and the world, particularly to addressing the main challenges facing by the world right now such as the armed conflicts, trade wars, terrorism, and climate change.
