Khmer Rally Raid Practice 2022 Kicks Off

Khmer Rally Raid Practice (KARA) 2022, which is a vehicle racing through obstacles and passing many areas, kicked off on May 13 evening at the headquarters of the Union of Youth Federations of Cambodia in Phnom Penh.

The official opening of the sporting event was presided over by H.E. Neth Pheaktra, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Environment.

Speaking on the occasion, H.E. Neth Pheaktra said the Khmer Rally Raid Practice will contribute significantly to enhancing tourism sector by disseminating the country’s potential areas, especially the natural and tourism community sites.

The two-day racing started from Phnom Penh capital to Kampot province and will finish from Kampot to Phnom Penh.

The event intends to strengthen the capacity of racers and promote the sport in Cambodia, according to KARA Club’s Team Mr. Ho Sithykun.

Racers from 11 countries, including Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, China, Germany, the U.S., Vietnam, France, Australia, Wales and the host Cambodia, are participating in the Khmer Rally Raid Practice (KARA) 2022 with 35 cars, 10 UTVs, and 14 motorcycles.
