Kuala Lumpur Police Apprehend Man for Threatening Education Minister

KUALA LUMPUR — A local man was detained by the police for allegedly issuing threats against Education Minister Fadhlina Sidek on social media platforms.

According to BARNAMA News Agency, the arrest took place in Setapak, with the 28-year-old suspect believed to be linked to the Twitter account @syahmisufi8. Following four police reports filed on the matter, the public has been cautioned against speculation that could obstruct the ongoing investigation.

The CID director emphasized the need for responsible social media use, particularly concerning matters of public safety. The suspect is currently under a remand order set to expire on Monday, November 6.
