A delegation of the Law Committee of Lao National Assembly (NA) led by its Chairman H.E. Saythong Keodouangdy has been on a visit in Cambodia to learn about the country’s law making, amendment, and enforcement process.

The delegation was received here on Tuesday by H.E. Nguon Nhel, First Vice President of the Cambodian NA.

On the occasion, H.E. Nguon Nhel spoke highly of the visit, saying that it will further strengthen the already strong friendship ties and cooperation between the two neighbouring countries. He informed the Lao delegates about the country’s current political situation and sought the committee’s protection of Cambodian investors in Laos while encouraging more investors and tourists from Laos into Cambodia.

H.E. Saythong Keodouangdy welcomed the requests and congratulated Cambodia on its current development and achievements.

Both sides were committed to fostering the cooperation between the two NAs, both at the bilateral and multilateral frameworks.

According to H.E. Nguon Nhel, the Cambodian NA has so far passed 523 laws to protect the interest of the nation and its people.
