Lao PM Pays Courtesy Visit to Cambodian Senate President

Samdech Vibol Sena Pheakdei Say Chhum, President of the Senate of Cambodia, received here on Monday afternoon visiting Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith.

On behalf of the senate, Samdech Say Chhum expressed his warm welcome to H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith’s visit, stressing that it will contribute to further tightening and expanding the ties of friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries and peoples at present and in the future.

H.E. Thongloun Sisoulith conveyed greetings from Lao leaders to Samdech Say Chhum and briefed him on the outcome of his official talks with Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

Samdech Say Chhum expressed his satisfaction with the relationship and cooperation between both neighboring countries and urged both sides to speed up the border demarcation that has already achieved some 86 percent.

The Kingdom of Cambodia and the Lao People’s Democratic Republic established their diplomatic relations in 1956.
