Sungai Buloh – The Malaysian Indian Transformation Unit (Mitra), tasked with implementing socio-economic development programs for the Indian community, especially the B40 group, has distributed RM62 million to over 100,000 recipients.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk R. Ramanan, Mitra’s Special Task Force Committee chairman, informed reporters that the funds were part of an allocation of RM100 million. He mentioned that the remaining funds would be disbursed in phases. Speaking at a Deepavali Open House, Ramanan emphasized the focus on education, healthcare, and supporting micro, small, and medium enterprises, with a special year-end retreat planned to discuss initiatives for 2024.
