Meeting with the new Japanese Ambassador

On December 20, 2016, at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, H.E. Sun Chanthol met with H.E. Harry H. Horinouchi, Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia to discuss the cooperation and assistance from Japan to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Some of the infrastructure projects under consideration from Japan include the rehabilitation of the Chruy Changvar bridge , the enlargement of National Road Number 5 from two lanes to 4 lanes, the construction of new container port in Sihanoukville. In addition, the feasibility of the Automated Guideway Transit from Phnom Penh to the Airport is being conducted by Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Minister Sun also thanked the Ambassador Horinouchi for the support for the Port EDI system and the capacity building of the staff of MPWT.
