The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries H.E. Veng Sakhon anticipates more export opportunities of agricultural products to international markets, especially to China.
The minister shared the optimism when inspecting Hong Thai Agricultural Industrial Park located at Cambodia Hun Ty Agricultural Processing Hub & Cold Chain Logistic in Kampong Sela district of Preah Sihanouk province recently.
Cambodia’s agricultural products have reached high quality, safety and competitive standard that attracts overseas buyers, he added.
The minister also spoke highly of the firm’s effort in building the centre for Cambodia’s agro-industrial sector, particularly the tropical fruits including mangoes, cashew nut, Pailin longan, fragrant coconut, dragon fruits, jack fruit, yellow banana, and grapefruit.
The centre will further expand the fruit production chain which will eventually improve farmers’ living conditions and economic growth, emphasised H.E. Veng Sakhon.
It is a starting point to pave the way for the flow of Cambodian agricultural products to the Chinese market and other international markets in future.
