Minister of Commerce Hosts Inter-Ministerial Consultation Workshop of Trade Barriers

AKP Phnom Penh, The Ministry of Commerce, in cooperation with GIZ, organised here on Friday last week an Inter-Ministerial Consultation Workshop on Barriers to Trade in Services in Cambodia, said the ministry’s news release.

This workshop mainly focused on the health and tourism sectors to support the Initiative for ASEAN Integration (IAI) project within the framework of the ASEAN Single Market, it underlined.

According to the same source, the workshop was presided over by Commerce Secretary of State H.E. Ms. Tekreth Kamrang, and attended by some key officials of line-ministries, representatives of GIZ, Euro-Cham, and development partners who have been working in the area of health and tourism sectors in Cambodia.

H.E. Ms. Tekreth Kamrang hoped that the consultative workshop would bring more productive dialogue, cooperation, initiatives and strategies which could be used to identify and prioritise all barriers to trade in services in Cambodia as well as to develop national policies to promote Cambodia’s trade development.
