Minister of MAFF Receives Senior Official of IFAD

Cambodian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries H.E. Veng Sakhon received here on Monday Mr. Nigel Brett, International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)'s Executive Director for Asia and Pacific.

According to a news release of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF), both sides discussed some projects, including the Agriculture Services Programme for Innovation, Resilience and Extension (ASPIRE), the Project for Agricultural Development and Economic Empowerment (PADEE), and the Scaling-up of Renewable Energy Technologies in Rural Cambodia (SRET).

H.E. Veng Sakhon thanked IFAD for its continued support and good cooperation with the Royal Government in the agricultural development and highlighted the role of IFAD in contribution to the 2-percent growth of Cambodia's agriculture sector.

For his part, Mr. Nigel Brett lauded the development of Cambodia and highly evaluated the cooperation of MAFF in carrying out PADEE, SRET, and especially ASPIRE.
