Ministry of Environment: Sea Water in Kep Province Is Safe

Ministry of Environment confirmed last week harmlessness of the changing color of sea water in Kep province on the health of human beings and animals after a joint study between ministry's specialist officials and Partnerships in Environmental Management for the Seas of East Asia (PEMSEA) with technical support from Western Pacific.

According to the ministry's press release, the changing color of water into green of some areas in the sea of Kep province was resulted by climate change and rising sea level both in Cambodia and in the region. The water, it highlighted, does not contain polluted substances.

The Ministry of Environment also called for the public not to be worried about swimming in the sea and eating seafood from the area.
