Ministry of Foreign Affairs Confirms Chinese Premier’s Visit to Cambodia

The Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has confirmed official visit by H.E. Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, to Cambodia on Jan. 11, 2018.

The visit will be made after the conclusion of the 2nd Mekong-Lancang Cooperation Leaders' Meeting on Jan. 10, 2018, the ministry said in a press release made public this morning.

According to the same source, during the visit, H.E. Li Keqiang will be granted a Royal Audience by His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, at the Royal Palace.

Besides, he will hold a bilateral meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia. Thereafter, the two leaders will preside over the signing ceremony of a number of documents to be followed by the launching ceremony of three projects: China-Cambodia Love Heart Journey, Grand Aid Project for the Building of China-Cambodia Friendship Preah Kossamak Hospital and Thbong Khmum Province Hospital and Conceptual Design of Siem Reap International Airport.

While staying in Cambodia, H.E. Li Keqiang will lay wreathes at the Monument of Independence and pay tribute and respect at the Royal Memorial of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk, the late King-Father of Cambodia.

The official visit of H.E. Li Keqiang, marking the start of the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic relations between Cambodia and China, will further strengthen Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation.
