MoH Determines Priorities to Further Promote Public Health

Ministry of Health has determined its priorities to further promote public health in both rural and urban areas across Cambodia for 2017.

The priorities were underscored yesterday by Minister of Health H.E. Mam Bunheng when chairing the opening of the 38th health conference taking place here at Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel.

While taking stronger measures in the prevention of communicable diseases, the ministry also looks into broader and more comprehensive coverage of mother and child vaccination and strengthens health equity fund to support poor patients.

Building capacity of medical personnel at all levels and equipping modern health facilities at municipal, provincial and district hospitals have been included in the mentioned scope of priority.

Results from the two-day health conference are expected to help fine-tune the priorities.
