MoH Takes Action to Promote Services of Medical Clinics

Ministry of Health has lately issued an order to all medical clinics to computerise their examination and prescription services and to comply with the ethical standards in order to mitigate medication risks.

Computerised medical examination and prescription will prevent misinterpretation and misinformation of the documents, leading to purchase and intake of wrong medicines.

The computerisation will also make it easier for future follow up or investigation of treatment and facilitate systematic reporting of those clinics to concerned department of the Ministry of Health.

The ministry allows three months to all medical clinics to fulfill the requirements or they will face closure of their operation.

The order also emphasises full compliance with medical ethics by all clinics to promote trust and confidence among the public.
