While generating almost US$72 million as national income in 2016, Ministry of Land Management, Urban Planning and Construction (MoLMUPC) set off to further qualify its services this year.
The mentioned gist was the result of the ministry's recent annual work review and planning organised here on Tuesday in Phnom Penh.
In addition to the noticeable income, according to Senior Minister and Minister of MoLMUPC H.E. Chea Sophara, 2016 investment magnitude in construction sector soared up to US$8.5 billion.
The increase of 155 percent in the sector compared to 2016 offered 200,000 jobs daily.
Toward 2017, the ministry will look into a number of priorities, including quality construction and cadastral services, systematic land titling speed-up, coast management, pro-veteran housing support, and housing supply for low-and-middle-income civil servants as well as Cambodians.
Permanent Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Bin Chhin who presided over the closing of the annual work review and planning, on behalf of Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, appreciated the achievements that contribute significantly to the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia to reduce poverty, conserve the environment and natural resources, and develop social economy in the free markets.
