MoLVT, KOSHA Ink 3rd Technical Cooperation Agreement

Cambodia’s Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT) and Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) reached here on Dec. 22 the 3rd Technical Cooperation Agreement on Occupational Safety and Health.

The agreement was signed by H.E. Huy Hansong, Secretary of State for MoLVT, and H.E. Lee Ho Sung, Vice President of KOSHA, under the witness of H.E. Ith Samheng, Minister of MoLVT.

H.E. Ith Samheng told reporters after the signing ceremony that the three-year cooperation between MoLVT and KOSHA 2017-2019 aimed to strengthen the welfare at work and to better occupational safety and health in Cambodia.

“It will bring about mutual benefits as the two sides will help each other in the area of sanitation and health at work. The Korean side will also provide technical assistance through short training for officials of the MoLVT in the Republic of Korea and send some experts to teach them. Moreover, both sides will exchange their lesson learnt concerning the on-site sanitation systems and health for workers/employees at work,” he added.
