More Cambodian Youths To Visit Japan as Part of JENESYS 2017 Youth Exchange Programme

Twenty-five (25) Cambodian youths are going to visit Japan from next week at the invitation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan under the JENESYS (Japan-East Asia Network of Exchange for Students and Youth) 2017.

According to a press release from the Embassy of Japan AKP received this morning, these participants were selected by The Competition for Participating JENESYS 2017 Youth Exchange Programme to Japan held on Oct. 5, 2017 at Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Centre (CJCC). In this competition, 48 university students of 12 groups made their presentation under the theme of My Best Cambodia and competed in terms of uniqueness, attractiveness and teamwork.

During their stay in Japan from Jan. 15 to 23, it pointed out, the participants will share knowledge with Japanese university students in Miyagi prefecture and make a group presentation under the theme of Our Best Cambodia. They will also have an opportunity to experience Japanese culture and cutting-edge technology.

The JENESYS aims to promote mutual trust and understanding among the people of Japan and other participating countries and to build a basis for future friendship and cooperation, said the press release, adding that through the programme, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has invited more than 2,000 Cambodian youths since 2007.
