More Japanese Visitors Expected at Preah Sihanouk Province

Japan will help encourage more Japanese tourists to visit Cambodia, especially Preah Sihanouk province.

The commitment was underscored by Ambassador of Japan to Cambodia H.E. Mikami Masahiro during his meeting with H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun, Governor of Preah Sihanouk province recently.

H.E. Mikami Masahiro informed H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun that it was his first visit to the province, and he appreciated the development there.

He continued that Japanese naval ships will dock at the coastal province soon and thanked the provincial authorities for the good collaboration and facilitation in preparing for the arrival of the naval ships as well as other Japanese vessels.

From his part, H.E. Kuoch Chamroeun thanked Japanese side, stressing that increased number of Japanese visitors will significantly contribute to promoting Cambodia's tourism and national income growth.

The governor spoke highly of good cooperation between Cambodia and Japan, adding that the development of Cambodia cannot be separated from the Japan's assistance, especially in infrastructure and education.
