More New Companies Recorded in First Two Months

From 50 to 70 new factories and enterprises have been recorded in Cambodia during the first two months of this year, according to a local media report.

Secretary of State at the Ministry of Industry and Handicraft H.E. Heng Sok Kong was quoted as saying by the same source that the cancellation of TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) trade agreement is a key factor to push for new investments in Cambodia.

The flow of new investments reflected Cambodia’s security, peace, political stability and economic development, underlined H.E. Secretary of State, adding that Cambodia is the 6th country in the world that has maintained its annual economic growth at 7.7 percent on average for the last two decades.

The Royal Government of Cambodia has been working hard to promote the country’s industrial development by adopting the Industrial Development Policy 2015-2025.
