More New JICA Volunteers Arrive in Cambodia

Ten more JICA volunteers have arrived in Cambodia after the COVID-19 situation in the country has eased and the Royal Government announced to reopen the country in all domains in November 2021.
According to a news release of the Embassy of Japan in Cambodia issued yesterday, Cambodia now is open, and more and more JICA volunteers will be working in provinces soon.
Many sectors including football, Science Education, Physical Education, Primary School Education, Water Quality Analysis, Information and Communication Technology and Midwifery, will be covered by them throughout Cambodia, it added.
Early this week, Mr. Karimata Atsushi, the embassy’s Chargé d’Affaires a.i., welcomed the new JICA volunteers and expressed his hope that their activities will contribute to further development of Cambodia by using their expertise and will also strengthen the friendship between Japan and Cambodia.
