Moroccan Ambassador Praises Cambodia for Religious Harmonisation and Coexistence

Cambodian Senior Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Prak Sokhonn received here on Aug. 3 the Bangkok-based Ambassador of Morocco to Cambodia H.E. Abdelilah El Housni.

Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation H.E. Chum Sounry told reporters after the meeting that the Moroccan ambassador considered Cambodia as a model country for the harmonisation and coexistence between the communities of different religious beliefs.

For his part, H.E. Prak Sokhonn recalled the friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Morocco after the reestablishment of their diplomatic ties in October 1996.

H.E. Prak Sokhonn also reminded the Moroccan side of the MoU on cooperation and consultation between the two foreign ministries and the agreement on cultural, technical, scientific and economic cooperation as well as the plan to sign an agreement on visa exemption for diplomatic and official passport holders between the two countries.

This year, Morocco will host the 2nd Consultation Meeting between both foreign ministries after the first meeting took place in Phnom Penh in 2014.
