As the temperature is starting to drop, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) called on the public, especially soldiers and local people stationed and living at Dangrek mountain and northeastern highland areas as well as fishermen, to pay attention to cold weather.

According to the ministry’s new weather forecast released this morning, Cambodia would experience a minimum temperature as low as 16 degrees Celsius between Dec. 14 and 20.

The most affected provinces would be Banteay Meanchey, Pailin, Siem Reap, Battambang, Mondulkiri, Rattanakiri, Preah Vihear, and Oddar Meanchey, it pointed out.

For the coastal areas, the source added, the minimum temperature would fall between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius during the same period.
