MOWRAM Warns of Possible Flash Floods in Coastal Provinces

Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM) has warned of possible flash floods in some coastal provinces due to heavy rainfall.

According to the ministry’s weather forecast made public this morning, from Aug. 6-9, the coastal areas would face successive heavy rainfall, which would result in possible flash floods, particularly in some parts of Koh Kong and Preah Sihanouk provinces.

The ministry thus called on the public to keep their vigilance of thunder, lightning, gusts and high waves.

For the temperature, MOWRAM added, it would vary between 23 and 34 degrees Celsius for the central lowland areas, from 22 to 33 degrees Celsius in highland areas, and between 23 and 33 degrees Celsius for the coastal areas.
