Mr. Yuichi Sugano Appointed New Chief Representative of JICA Cambodia Office

Mr. Yuichi Sugano has been recently appointed as new Chief Representative of Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Cambodia Office in replacement of Mr. Itsu Adachi who has successfully fulfilled his over-two-year mission in the country.

Japanese Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Horinouchi Hidehisa introduced the new chief representative of JICA Cambodia Office to Cambodian Senior Minister H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth, Minister of Economy and Finance, during their meeting here on Mar. 27.

The Japanese diplomat also reaffirmed his government’s commitment to continue tightening and expanding the cooperation in the prioritized sectors with the Royal Government of Cambodia.

For his part, H.E. Aun Porn Moniroth highly valued Japan’s contribution to the development of Cambodia and affirmed that Cambodia is ready to continue the close cooperation with H.E. Yuichi Sugano.

Currently, Japan is one of the major donors and development partners of Cambodia. Tomorrow, Senior Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation will sign an Exchange of Notes and a Record of Discussions on grant aid and loan to support four development projects in Cambodia with H.E. Ambassador Horinouchi Hidehisa.
