Myanmar Appreciates Cambodia’s Contribution against COVID-19 Pandemic

H.E. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, State Counsellor of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, has sent a letter of appreciation to Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, over the Cambodian donation in medical supplies to Myanmar.
“| wish to express our deep appreciation to Your Excellency and the Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia for your generous contribution of 2 million masks and other medical facilities to Myanmar,” she wrote in her letter dated Nov. 26.
“This valuable assistance provided by the Kingdom of Cambodia to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar in our fight against COVID-19 truly reflects your genuine friendship towards Myanmar and is of great help to us during these challenging times,” she underlined. “Despite the recent surge of COVID-19 cases in Myanmar, we have every confidence that, with the collective strength of our people and the strong support of our friendly partners like Cambodia, we shall be able to overcome the challenges and emerge more resilient and stronger.”
“May I take this opportunity to congratulate Your Excellency for your success in bringing the COVID-19 virus under control in Cambodia,” concluded H.E. Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.
This morning, Cambodian Minister of Health H.E. Prof. Mam Bunheng brought the medical assistance to Myanmar on a special flight and was welcomed by H.E. Dr. Myint Htwe, Union Minister for Health and Sports of Myanmar.
