NA President Encourages Thailand to Further Support Cambodian Migrant Workers

While thanking the Thai counterpart, President of Cambodia's National Assembly has encouraged the Kingdom to further support Cambodian migrant workers there.

Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin made the point when received recently by the President of the National Legislative Assembly of Thailand H.E. Pornpetch Wichitcholchai in Bangkok.

Effort of Thailand's competent authorities to facilitate Cambodian migrant workers in the Kingdom, Samdech Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin told his counterpart, is a win-win approach, meaning both sides benefit.

He continued that Thailand needs labour force and Cambodia has the resource, and good cooperation will continue to impact positively to the two neighbours' economies.

To date, there are about one million Cambodian migrant workers in Thailand and the Royal Government of Cambodia is working hard to ensure they have all necessary support documents to work there.

From Feb. 1 to 3, Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin led his delegation for a work visit in Thailand � the trip at the invitation of his Thai counterpart.
