National Police Marks 71st Founding Anniversary

AKP Phnom Penh, May 17, 2016 –

The National Police of Cambodia held here on Monday a meeting to mark its 71st founding anniversary (May 16, 1945-2016) under the presidency of Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

On the occasion, Samdech Sar Kheng spoke highly of the sacrifice of the national police forces in defending national independence, territorial integrity and sovereignty as well as in maintaining peace, political stability, security, safety and social order for the national development.

“We’ll oppose absolutely those who use the pluralist liberal democracy for their personal and political gains. This (pluralist liberal democracy) is for all of us and the core factor for the sustainability of our nation. Therefore, no one can use it as a tool to serve any party or any individual,” he underlined.

Samdech Sar Kheng said that pluralist liberal democracy is definitely the political regime that is suitable for Cambodia, and election is the best choice to ensure stability, reconciliation, unity and sustainability of Cambodia.
