National Road No. 4 To Be Upgraded

The Royal Government of Cambodia will further upgrade the National Road No. 4 with a total budget of US$110 million, a loan from the World Bank.

H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of the Public Works and Transport was quoted as saying by local media during his inspection visit to the flooded area along the National Road No. 4 late last week.

Under this rehabilitation project, the National Road No. 4, from Phnom Penh capital to the coastal province of Preah Sihanouk, will be expanded from 7 to 11 metres wide.

In addition, a study has been being conducted in order to save this main road from flood which hits some parts of it almost every year.
