National TVET Policy Approved

Cabinet of Ministers has reviewed and approved the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Policy 2017-2025 for human resource development responsive to the current market's development.

Chaired by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, the body discussed the national policy during its last week's regular meeting at Peace Palace here in Phnom Penh.

The policy drafted by Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training also intends to promote governance within the government's technical and vocational education and training system, engage key stakeholders, and mobilise available resources to succeed the work.

Through the policy, it is expected that more access to technical vocational education and training will be created with quality.

Beside TVET Policy, the weekly cabinet meeting approved the draft sub-decree on the organisation and functioning of the Tobacco Control Committee; and agreed to submit an agreement between the Royal Government of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the European Patent Organisation on Validation of European Patents to the National Assembly for ratification.
