NEC Resolves Almost 100% of Complaints Filed

National Election Committee (NEC) has solved almost 100 percent of complaints of its preliminary voters' list, according to the body's recent update.

Between Jan. 11 and 23, NEC received a total of 173 complaints relating to 2,479 persons with their names in the preliminary voters' list it announced.

As of Jan. 24, the committee has resolved 172 of the filed complaints, while the last one is pending further investigation before any further decision made.

The 173 complaints derived from 100 communes/Sangkat of 17 capital and provinces.

Given the mentioned progress, NEC expected to have resolved all the complaints before Feb. 12.

With this completed, the committee on Feb. 12 will officially announce the official voters' list for the Commune/Sangkat Council Election to happen on June 4.
