The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has planned to build a new asphalt concrete (AC) mixing factory in response to the demand for infrastructure construction.
The new factory is announced after the construction of the country’s first AC mixing factory in Kampot province has been completed.
Speaking at the ministry’s annual meeting held here on Thursday, H.E. Sun Chanthol, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport said that the establishment of the new AC mixing plant is aimed to contribute to the improvement of a road from DBST to AC, which lasts longer.
“This year, we hope to get another factory. We plan to establish the factory in Battambang province to reply to road construction work, such as Road 57, Road 58, Road 68, from DBST to AC road,” he said.
H.E. Sun Chanthol hoped that the AC mixing factory will help make road construction progress easier, faster, and more cost-effective.
