Another 24 Cambodian youths awarded with post-graduate scholarship in Japan are committed to bring back more knowledge and skill for the development of Cambodia.
The new batch of the so-called JDS scholarship fellows expressed their commitment during an official farewell meeting with government’s representative H.E. Pan Sorasak, Cambodian Minister of Commerce, at the ministry office here in Phnom Penh.
Thanking the Government of Japan for the priceless contribution to Cambodia’s human resource development, H.E. Pan Sorasak appreciated their assurance and encouraged the awarded Cambodian officials and students to not only study hard, but also share their world about the potentials of the country.
Beginning in 2000, the scholarship is made possible through the Project for Human Resource Development Scholarship by Japanese Grant Aid.
To date, a total of 416 Cambodian fellows have been awarded with the scholarship to study at universities in Japan.
The 24 Cambodian officials and students will study for their post-graduate education for the academic year 2018-2020.
