Newly-bought Fire Engines Distributed to Different Fire Stations Across Cambodia

The newly-purchased 113 fire engines were officially distributed to different fire stations throughout the country in a ceremony held here on Thursday under the presidency of Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.

Among the new fire engines, 5 were given to Kandal province, 4 to Kampong Chhnang, 4 to Kampong Speu, 6 to Prey Veng, 6 to Kampong Cham, 5 to Thbong Khmum, 5 to Kratie , 3 to Stung Treng, 4 to Svay Rieng, 4 to Takeo, 3 to Kampot, 2 to Kep, 4 to Preah Sihanouk, 3 to Koh Kong, 4 to Kampong Thom, 5 to Pursat, 6 to Battambang, 6 to Siem Reap, 3 to Banteay Meanchey, 3 to Oddar Meanchey, 2 to Pailin, 5 to Preah Vihear, 4 to Mondulkiri, and 4 to Rattanakiri while 13 others were handed over to Fire Department, Ministry of Interior.

The China-made ISUZU-branded fire engines have been purchased by the Royal Government of Cambodia at a total cost of 40 billion Riel or US$10 million. They were shipped to Cambodia on May 11 and arrived in Phnom Penh a day later. Each engine can contain up to 6,000 litres of water.
