Official Home-Coming Ceremony for Cambodian Delegation from UN Mission in South Sudan and Lebanon

Cambodian blue helmet troops, Multirole Engineer Unit 936, and Level 2 Hospital 908 have returned home, after fulfilling successfully their UN peacekeeping operations in Lebanon and South Sudan.

Official event to welcome the delegation was held lately at the Military Air Base here in Phnom Penh, under the presidency of Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense H.E. Gen. Tea Banh and Mr. Alexandre Huynh, UN Representative to Cambodia.

In his remarks, H.E. Gen. Tea Banh underlined the commitment of the Royal Government of Cambodia in contribution to international peacekeeping mission.

Mr. Alexandre Huynh lauded the hard work and achievement of the Cambodian officials and thanked the people and Royal Government of Cambodia for continuing support to the UN mission.

Cambodia since 2006 has sent a total of 3,960 troops - 146 of them are women - for the UN peacekeeping operations in Sudan, South Sudan, Central African Republic, Chad, Syria, Lebanon, Mali and Cyprus.
