One year, one party for all

Hotel Jen, with locations across Asia Pacific, has a brand of style and service designed to appeal to a "New Jeneration" of travelers, in consonance with the virtual persona of Jen, a professional hotelier who is a lover of life, travel and discovery; and the namesake of the hotel.

To celebrate the quality, comfort, convenience and value of Hotel Jen that highlights the cultural insights of its particular location, the brand simultaneously celebrated its first anniversary worldwide.

Working with local artists, performers and chefs, Jen infused each #NextJenParty with the art, music, flavors and culture of each city in Hotel Jen Orchard Gateway Singapore; Hotel Jen Tanglin Singapore; Hotel Jen Hong Kong; Hotel Jen Brisbane; Hotel Jen Manila; Hotel Jen Penang; Hotel Jen Male Maldives; Hotel Jen Puteri Harbour; Hotel Jen Shenyang; and Hotel Jen Upper East Beijing. At the Hotel Jen Manila, the fiesta theme reigned from start to finish at the anniversary celebration, which began with a majorette performance by the kids of Maytubig Day Care Center at the entrance of the hotel. At the lobby, Pas Des Tous, a group of high school students representing St. Paul College of ParaAaque, showcased the folk dance tinikling and two more ethnical dance traditions from the Philippines' northern and southern regions.

After, the guests joined Hotel Jen Manila's poolside feast to celebrate Hotel Jen's first year anniversary, highlight a traditional Filipino feast of celebratory dishes such as kare-kare, pinakbet, kilawin, fried chicken, pansit, lechon kawali, ubod lumpia and many vegetable side dishes. The lechon, a whole pig cooked over charcoal, proved to be the star of the feast.

Local refreshments such as fresh buko juice, sago't gulaman, melon juice and pandan juice complemented the fiesta theme. For the dessert, the all-time favorite sorbetes (ice cream) with local fruit flavors was a delight.

As part of its CSR initiative and its objective to give back to the community, Hotel Jen Manila also invited in their celebration the Shadow Rondalla, a group of blind men who played the plectrum instruments.

The culmination of the We Are One party was the ceremonial cake cutting at the Windows by the Bay. The Philippine flag design was the top layer of the three-yier cake. Hotel Jen Manila's general manager Ed Kollmer, director of Operations Frencie Duadua, director of Human Resources Don Bazar, director of Sales and Marketing Meegee Yap and Hotel Jen's social media specialist June Ng shared the cake with the guests to cap off the evening's celebration.
