Over Thirty Roads Damaged by Flash Floods

Approximately 36 roads of 60 kilometres long were damaged by flash floods, as of Sept. 6, according to a news release from the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.

Those roads are in 11 provinces, including the coastal Kampot and Kep, it added.

On Sunday, Senior Minister and Minister of Public Works and Transport H.E. Sun Chanthol made an inspection visit of the situation of Road No. 33 and National Road No. 3 seriously affected by flash floods.

The two roads will be renovated at the end of the rainy season and the restoration work will be completed before December this year to be ready for two major events: the Sea Festival to be held from Dec. 27 to 29, 2019 and a world cycling race at the coastal areas from Jan. 4 to 6, 2020, said H.E. Senior Minister on the occasion.
