Phnom Penh Authority Bans High-risk Businesses and Large Gatherings for Another Week

High-risk businesses for COVID-19 in Phnom Penh capital will temporarily be prohibited for seven more days, from Nov. 29 to Dec. 5 to contain and prevent the spread of the pandemic.
According to a new directive of the Phnom Penh municipal administration released this evening, the mentioned high-risk business activities are KTVs, bars, and nightclubs.
Besides, it added, private gatherings of over 50 people will also be banned during the same period, except weddings, religious ceremonies, and some other exceptions.
Occupational and business activities and gatherings that are not restricted must carry out the health safety rules strictly, the directive underlined.
As of this morning, Cambodia’s COVID-19 tally rose to 120,112, of which 116,488 have recovered and 2,935 have died.
