Phnom Penh Hosts Young Presidents’ Organisation Cambodia Preview

The first ever Young Presidents' Organization (YPO) Cambodia Preview has been organised recently in Phnom Penh to help relevant businesses as well as to form connections between young business leaders.

The event was presided over by Minister Attached to the Prime Minister H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, also Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, with the participation of more than 50 chief executives and entrepreneurs from different countries.

Mr. Fred Mouaward, Founder and CEO of Synergia One Group of Companies operating in 12 countries, spoke highly of YPO, saying that it is a global forum for knowledge and experience sharing for common progress. Cambodia is a growing economy in Southeast Asia, therefore Cambodian young chief executives and entrepreneurs will get a lot of benefits from taking part in YPO mission and will later become good leaders in their whole life, he added.

For his part, Mr. Sim Rithy, Founder of SIM BROTHERS Co. Ltd., a YPO member and Founder of YPO Cambodia, said that after the meeting, YPO Cambodia Chapter will be officially launched with at least 16 members.

According to its website, YPO currently empowers more than 25,000 members in more than 130 countries, diversified among industries and types of businesses. Altogether, YPO member-run companies employ 16 million people and generate US$6 trillion in annual revenues.
