PM Announces Compensation for Victims of Kep Building Collapse

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has through his social media announced the compensation package for the building collapse victims in Kep provincial city yesterday afternoon.

According to his Facebook comment this afternoon, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said to ease the hardship of the victims and their families, he decided to compensate the injured with 40 million Riel or US$10,000 each and the dead with 200 million Riel or US$50,000 and 10 more million Riel or US$2,500 for the funeral.

At the same time, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his gratitude to all charitable people for their contribution to the compensation.

The Premier has been leading the search and rescue operation directly at the building collapse site since yesterday night.

The latest press release of Kep Provincial Administration shows that as of this afternoon, at 14:14, 5 people have been reported dead and 20 others injured by this six-floor building collapse incident.
