PM Appreciates Australia’s Support for Cambodia

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has spoken highly of the Australian government’s support for Cambodia so far.
According to H.E. Eang Sophalleth, Personal Assistant to Samdech Techo Hun Sen, during a farewell meting with outgoing Ambassador of Australia to Cambodia H.E. Pablo Kang at the Peace Palace in Phnom Penh this afternoon, the Cambodian Premier thanked the Australian side for the donation in COVID-19 vaccines, which he said contributed significantly to preventing the pandemic spread in Cambodia, saving Cambodians’ lives.
The right to life is very important for Cambodia, without this right, there is no need to talk about other rights, he underlined.
Samdech Techo Prime Minister also thanked the Australian government for supporting Cambodia’s ASEAN chairmanship.
For his part, H.E. Pablo Kang said despite the COVID-19 crisis, the relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Australia were tightened, mainly in the fields of health through vaccine provision, mine clearance, education by increasing scholarships for Cambodian students, national defence, and the promotion of ASEAN-Australia free trade agreement.
The outgoing diplomat congratulated the Royal Government of Cambodia for the successful hosting of the ASEAN Summits and Related Summits in November.
