PM Back Home from 35th ASEAN Summit in Bangkok

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his high-level delegation arrived home this morning from the 35th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits held in Bangkok, Thailand from Nov. 2 to 4.

The Premier was warmly welcomed upon his arrival at Phnom Penh International Airport by Samdech Kralahom Sar Kheng, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and many other senior government officials as well as Thai Ambassador to Cambodia H.E. Panyarak Poolthup.

The ASEAN Summit and related meetings in Bangkok provided an opportunity for all ASEAN Member States to discuss key issues for the common interest of the whole ASEAN Community and the world as well, especially to strengthen and expand cooperation with the ASEAN partner countries such as China, India, Russia, the U.S., Korea, Japan to promote sustainable development, stability, peace and prosperity, said the Cambodian Premier in a Facebook post this morning before his departure from Bangkok.

The 36th ASEAN Summit will be held in Vietnam, added Samdech Techo Hun Sen.

Besides, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reminded the November events. Only four days left for the National Independence Day on Nov. 9 and then the Water Festival, from Nov. 10 to 12, he said.

The Prime Minister therefore invited his compatriots and all national and international tourists to enjoy the forthcoming events in Phnom Penh and the provinces, and asked them to prepare banana, coconut and Ambok for the Ambok Eating campaign to protect the Nation, Religion, and King on Nov. 9 in a joyful atmosphere.
