PM Calls for Attention to Terrorism on New Year Holidays Abroad

AKP Phnom Penh, Cambodian Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has appealed to all his compatriots to pay high attention to terrorism during their overseas trip on forthcoming New Year holidays.

Addressing at the get-together with workers and employees at Wat Ang Trakeat area in Khan Pursenchey, on the National Road No. 3, Phnom Penh this morning, Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his hope that there would be no terrorism attack in Cambodia, but called on his fellow citizens to be careful during their overseas trip.

I hope that at the end of this year, there would be no terrorism attack in Cambodia, but those who travel abroad, especially to some terrorist-targeted destinations, you have to be more careful, he underlined.

The premier also took this opportunity to appeal to the competent authorities to do their best in preventing terrorism, maintaining security and safety for the public and foreign visitors.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his optimism that many foreign visitors will come and enjoy their New Year holidays in Cambodia.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, Cambodia is expected to attract 5.6 million foreign visitors by the end of this year, and more than 1 million Cambodians will travel abroad for touring, medical check-up, business trip, etc.
