PM Congratulates the Youngest Successful Candidate of High School Exam

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has extended his congratulations to Hy Tieang Kimhong, 13, who successfully got his baccalaureate after taking the high school exams on Dec. 5-6, 2022.
In a message on his official social media network, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said Hy Tieang Kimhong is an outstanding boy, even though he obtained grade C.
According to the Premier, Kimhong studied at grade 6 when he was only 7 years old, and could do math tests of grade 10 to 12 as well as do internet research.
Samdech Techo Hun Sen expressed his hope that Kimhong can hold a Bachelor’s degree at the age of 17 years old, a Master’s degree at 19 years old, and a PhD degree at 23 years old.
At the same time, the Prime Minister also expressed his congratulations to all the successful students of this year’s high school exams.
According to the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport, 72.33 percent, or 90,950 out of 128,134 students who have registered for the upper secondary exams, obtained their baccalaureate. Among them, 1,049 got grade A; 7,232 grade B; 19,053 grade C; 31,166 grade D; and 32,450 grade E.
