PM Continues to Support Education Reform

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has lauded the achievements of the education sector regarded by Cambodia as a strategy for national economic growth.

At the closing ceremony of the annual meeting of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports held here at the Institute of Technology of Cambodia yesterday afternoon, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed the Royal Government’s commitment to continue supporting the education reform in order to further enhance the education quality.

The Premier said strengthening of education quality is the main target and priority goal of the Royal Government as stated in its Rectangular Strategy at all phases.

H.E. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sports said currently Cambodia has 14,522 state and private schools, including 4,810 kindergartens, 7,716 primary schools, 1,324 lower secondary schools and 672 high schools.
