PM Hun Sen Announces His Strong Commitment Against Drug

Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen reaffirmed here this afternoon the strict action against the drug crime in Rock - a famous adult entertainment centre in Phnom Penh.

Addressing to the closing ceremony of the 40th annual Health Conference, Samdech Techo Hun Sen said the crime in Rock is an intolerable case.

The Premier ordered the authorities to find out who is behind [] because it has destroyed many youths' future. This Rock centre has ruined the future of many young people, so we must not only punished the users and simple traffickers [], we must arrest the one behind. Strict action must be taken without exception, he underlined.

According to the Ministry of Health, a total of 8,096 drug addicts have received treatment last year, up from only 3,101 in 2017.

Oknha Kith Theang, the owner of Rock centre, was arrested yesterday, after the authorities found more than 50 kg of drug in Rock and arrested more than 300 youths.
