Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen has called on his compatriots to join the forthcoming 5th Mandate Commune/Sangkat Council Election by following the health preventive measures against the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Even though the COVID-19 situation in Cambodia has eased and there has been no new infection for almost a month, please do not forget alcohol-based hand sanitizer, facemasks and safety distancing when going to the poll to prevent a new COVID outbreak,” said Samdech Techo Hun Sen in his voice message shared on June 3 afternoon, the last day of the two-week-long local election campaign.
The Premier took the opportunity to thank the outgoing commune/Sangkat councilors for their hard work in serving the citizens, particularly when the country was hitting by COVID-19.
Cambodia is going to hold the 5th Mandate Commune/Sangkat Council Election on Sunday, June 5, 2022.
