Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has received another honorary doctorate on development from the Royal University of Phnom Penh (RUPP).

The conferment ceremony took place at the RUPP on his 70th birthday, Aug. 5.

At the auspicious event, Samdech Techo Hun Sen reiterated the significance of peace, the key foundation for the national development in all domains.

Without peace, he said, Cambodia cannot host the 55th ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting and Related Meetings with the presence of many foreign ministers of ASEAN and dialogue partners, including 3 of the 5 permanent members of the United Nations Security Council.

Samdech Techo Hun Sen also expressed his high appreciation for the successful efforts against the COVID-19 pandemic so that the 55th AMM and Related Meetings can be held physically.
